The following calculator estimates the value of wood waste by a direct comparison of its heat value with that of natural gas, fuel oil or coal. Increased accuracy is possible by specifying the moisture content of the wood waste.
This calculator is based on the calorific value of wood waste and natural gas, fuel oil or coal and standard boiler efficiencies. If the volume of the wood waste is specified standard loose densities are used.
Disclaimer: The above calculation should be taken as an indication only, there are many factors that determine the market value of biomass that have not been taken into account here.
