Lou Sherman is the Packaging Research Leader at Scion with a background in packaging development, this includes 10 years of experience working for food and pharmaceutical companies both in Europe and New Zealand. Within these roles she has been responsible for the delivery of new or improved packaging technologies into the supply chain. At Scion, she is responsible for managing a research program to develop new packaging technologies using fibres and bioproducts. The programme focuses on the prediction and measurement of packaging performance (particularly in the chilled supply chain), materials to increase shelf life of food and measuring packaging sustainability.
