The Centre for Human Factors and Ergonomics (COHFE) is an experienced team of qualified ergonomists.

COHFE provides high quality ergonomics research, consultancy and educational services. This internationally recognised team works to improve the safety, health and performance of New Zealand people and organisations.

Research

COHFE is New Zealand’s leading and largest ergonomics group and has personnel and facilities ideally suited for research projects investigating detailed work-related issues. The research is tailored towards each specific project, by combining suitable literature and theoretical or experimental background with on-site data collection and surveys of working populations and environments.

Consultancy

COHFE’s consultancy services are based on a sound technical knowledge gained through years of research and experience. COHFE can conduct small scale workplace assessments through to larger scale input into design and implementation of new systems or equipment.
