    Volume 41 (2011) NZJFS

    The New Zealand Journal of Forestry Science has reached a milestone with the publication of 40 volumes since it began in 1971. We are celebrating this 40th anniversary by including a special editorial on the history of the Journal and a retrospective of New Zealand forestry over the last 40 years.

    Volume 40 (2010) NZJFS

    The New Zealand Journal of Forestry Science will have a biosecurity focus this year. Volume 40 will include the proceedings of the IUFRO* International Forest Biosecurity Conference held in Rotorua, New Zealand from 16 to 20 March 2009. A special supplement to Volume 40 will also be included in Volume 40 (see details above).

    Plantation forestry will continue to be a particular focus of the Journal but manuscripts on a wider range of forestry topics, such as tropical species, climate change, and policy will also be considered. Manuscripts will be categorised using the seven criteria (Biodiversity, Productive Capacity, Health and Vitality, Soil and Water Resources, Global Carbon Cycles, Socio-economic Benefits, and Policy) of the Montreal Process.
